i am wasted - exhausted - whacked etc.  just staying up so i can pump for tomorrow.  wanted to update on the latest developments:  when we were in Tam Dao Bernard did nothing but squeal. squeal for happy, squeal for tired, squeal for bored, squeal to get attention, squeal just anyway because it's really fun to make such  a loud and piercing noise.  The video i took is actually the moment when this squealing phase began: we had got bored of it by the evening of the same day.  We were wondering how long the squealing phase would last:  when i got home from work today, he had suddenly started experimenting with repetitive sounds like yayayayaya and ngangangagn occasionally, and the squeals had receded.  whoo hoo!
